Cleaning Out The Pipes

My wife and I have to get a plumber to come over in the morning - costly though it will be. The sewage pipe leading from the houses behind us out to the street is blocked (probably from a tree root), and the contents (you can guess what) is overflowing through the little drain in our backyard, leaving almost our entire lawn covered in muck.

On one hand this is good news for the lawn (free fertilizer at a time when we aren’t allowed to water the lawn anyway), but of course on many other levels it’s just disgusting.

With any luck, we won’t end up having to pay for the plumber, anyway. It’ll either be the council or the houses behind us, hopefully.

Either way, it just needs to be fixed. Does anybody know a good, cheap, reliable plumber who could help me out with this?

I recommend calling your house insurance people as a first port of call. If it qualifies under your insurance then they’ll have a couple of plumbers that they use for this sort of job and you won’t have to pay them a thing - just quote them a claim number and they’ll be at your house in a jiffy.

Otherwise, I recommend calling the Grey Army.

    Thank you, Hey Riss.

Do I know you or something?

    :)
